Promising myself to blog regularly for the next 9 months at least, I begin my first post of the Post-Resolution era.
Yes, I'm a doctor. And yes, most of my posts will be connected to the hospital and patients. The only difference between the boring , always-advice-giving-talks-from-bald-old-men which has crossed your mind after reading the above sentence is definitely not going to come true. Hopefully.
Mostly they'll be my conversations with my own mind to the situations I face at work. Funny sometimes, but mostly sarcastic. After all, Sarcasm is still....All I have.
(Yea rite, You know that was coming.)
So...it's been a week.
A week for new place, new people around, new contacts, new topics to laugh about, new thoughts to ponder over, actual problems to face. It's way different than I thought it would be. Okay summarized - on the happy side of the "being content graph". I mean, no fellow interns with big shot Doctor Dad's, no resident telling me how hopeless my last 6 years have been, no senior intern to whine about how useless my next 9 months are gonna be or hell...no fellow colleagues bitching. Or that's what I feel. Good enough for me.
And Patients...Ah!
I'm extremely thankful for my fellow intern for being there. Seriously. Coz there are times when I'm not sure if my patients speak my mother tongue. And I doubt if really marathi should be my native.
Anyway, what's more amusing is the content. Rite, I'm not gonna scare you with my first blog and portray myself as a doctor bitching about her patients and breaking one more line of my oath....
Huh. I am , right?
Right I'll care about it when sued.
Patient of the week is....
"Dog bite"
Came 3 days late, had her wound checked up which was just a scratch really. And on being asked, "how was the dog?" ....whose reply was expected to be , "rabied or domestic or healthy or even...I don't remember". She replied, " It was a black dog with a white patch behind his left ear". =D
Me- Wow, That was just what I needed to know for writing you the prescription of anti rabies vaccine. Thank you.
No words left.....
